People always ask me for cool facts about the park so I compiled a list you can share with your friends.
• We have wooden pegs to hold more than 2,600 life vests. Vests from the previous year that are deemed safe and in good shape are reused for the upcoming season. In addition to those vests, more than 3,600 additional life vests have been ordered for 2011.
• We trained 235 Shallow Water Guards and 58 lifeguards in 2010.
• We parked nearly 200,000 cars in 2010.
• WCUSA’s attractions hold more than 2,450,000 gallons of water.
• If you add up tables, chairs, benches and loungers we have 5,274 seats in the park. That doesn’t include our ride tubes.
• We gave more than 2,800,000 rides last year (and that’s just the rides with a tracking turnstile.
• We have more than 1.6 miles of slides at Water Country USA (8,617 feet).
• We made 43,000 hamburgers, 41,000 hot dogs, 40,000 funnel cakes, and 20,000 waffle cones in 2010.
