The summer season for Water Country USA has come to an end. It seems like only yesterday I was standing at the top of the wave pool the first morning we opened in May. I watched as guests hurried down the steps to climb in and ride the waves.
My fondest memories are about the leadership team I worked with, the fun we had and all that we accomplished. It takes a special person to be a leader in a water park. It’s hard work, a lot of responsibility and often involves some long hours. The team I worked with this summer always seemed to be having fun, kept their team smiling and just had an all-around good time. I love going to work with this group because they always make you smile.
The supervisory staff at our park is primarily college students … many who attend schools several hours away. This weekend many of those supervisors made the drive home to rejoin the team for the last weekend. It was a lot of fun having a reunion with them on such a nice weekend.
Thanks to the leadership team for an amazing summer, and a special thanks to the leaders who stayed with us until the very end.
