Getting to “Most Beautiful”

I am so fortunate to work at a park that continues to win world’s most “Beautiful Theme Park.” So I’ve been thinking ... how do we make that happen?

As a person who enjoys cars like many enthusiasts, I’ve decided there are definite similarities between that hobby and our intricate landscaping here at Busch Gardens.

Start out with a good frame for your vehicle. In our case, we have natural hillsides and trees, and are able to incorporate some water features in the wooded landscape we inhabit.

You need to choose the proper engine. Our buildings and rides are part of the physical elements that help ‘drive’ our business.

Next is the body style. Who wants to show a car without a great body? Our landscape maintenance team makes sure the body is “show-worthy” every single day.

Then we need some stylin’ wheels. Flower beds are a special part of the show.

Paint is also crucial for a beautiful ride. Just like car enthusiasts, our maintenance and theming make sure things look just right.

Cleanliness is absolutely required for a winning vehicle, and it’s the same with a beautiful park. The operations team works hard every day to keep things looking good.

Topping it all off: the right polish. Our spray tech and irrigation staff make sure that the right materials are applied in the right places for the benefit of our park.

So as you can see, the road to becoming the world’s most “Beautiful Theme Park” is very much a collaborative effort every day. It takes a lot of work, but it all pays off in the end.
