11 Ways to Save in 2011

If one of your new year’s resolutions is to get your financial house in order, you’re not alone. I spent a good part of this past weekend paying pending bills, balancing the checkbook (well, almost) and working on a household budget for 2011. COMING SOON: A DROP TOWER, NEW WATER SLIDE AND A COASTER

Today is a big day for the Williamsburg theme parks.

I’m happy to tell everyone about our two-year plan that includes five major changes between Busch Gardens and Water Country USA. This plan is the largest investment in our history, and it offers something for everyone in the family.

Eating Healthy

When most people think about eating at a theme park they think about hamburgers and pizza. What most people don't realize is that we offer healthier dining options at Water Country USA, as well.

Guest can find healthier dining options around the park including sub sandwiches and homemade chips, to fresh watermelon, strawberries and melon. Even lighter options such as salads are also scattered around the water park that include healthy sides.

My favorite place to eat at the park is Launch Pad. I love the variety of subs. They carry everything from Italian to chicken salad.

Cold Weather Landscaping

by Staff

Even through the winter, the landscaping work doesn't stop here at Busch Gardens.

Some of our biggest winter projects involve trees. It's the right time to cut crape myrtles, and a great time to examine our all of our trees.

Much of our park is wooded, and the rides that fly through these areas depend on our tree crew for safety. Winter maintenance involves clearing brush and young trees from under the coasters, and utilizing knowledge of growth habits to create a wide swath for the coasters' passage.
