Remember back to Christmas 2010, when all 50 states had snow somewhere? This season has been warm enough to qualify as the “4thwarmest on record” for our area by the National Weather Service. We’ve become so spoiled to the nice temperatures. Lately, temperatures have been in the “record high” range.

It’s beginning to sound a lot like Christmas

After a thrilling Howl-O-Scream event it’s always difficult to imagine that within a month’s time the park has been transformed into a magical happy place full of snow, penguins and Santa Claus. However, once you start to hear classics like “Here Comes Santa Claus” and “White Christmas” pumping through the park you start to realize the gift that has arrived.

Spring Prep Work

Christmas Town has come and gone and now it's time to get the park ready for our spring opening. Though all of our guests have gone home for the winter, our villages are full of team members preparing for the spring. The miles of Christmas lights and garland are being removed and stored neatly until they are fluffed and re-installed next November. Along with the removal of Christmas Town, all of the park's signage gets refreshed, as well as increased work on the new Oktoberfest village.
