I am the Production Development Supervisor for Entertainment at our park. My story at Busch Gardens began when I made my first visit with my family as a 13 year old. My parents had been to the park many years before, and I remember my mom couldn’t wait to get me on the Big Bad Wolf, her favorite ride. She was right to do so because after riding, I knew right then I was going to be hooked on this park. It was thrilling, well-themed, and everyone in my family was able to ride it which meant we would be back for the guaranteed quality experience several times over the years.
While studying Theatre Management at Auburn University I was given a great opportunity to join the Entertainment team as the Stage Manager for the 2007 Starlight Orchestra in Italy. It was a show with such great character and quality that it only further reinforced my enjoyment of the park. After a few years working in company and production management for a regional theater in D.C., an opportunity surfaced that would return me to the Busch Gardens team to work on some really exciting projects alongside old friends. Now on the development team, I have a chance to contribute to the overall success of Entertainment productions through my thoughts, research and planning.
I’m very excited to be able to share my experiences with you, as I get to see and create some of the most unique aspects of our show product. Together with Cameron, I’ll be another source for behind-the-scenes access to Entertainment. So feel free to comment on any posts with questions or thoughts as we’re always looking at new ideas and possibilities to bring the best of our park to you.
